The Competency

To implement a school culture based on the values of cooperation.

Elements of Competency

1 - In collaboration with all school staff, to introduce a set of values prerequisite to a cooperative climate in the school.

2 - To analyze and implement the school mission in situations of all student interactions within the school.

3 - To implement a code of conduct reinforcing cooperative competencies.

Content

Day 1

  • A mission: to socialize in order to live together better.
  • The values of cooperation which respect the school mission.
  • The existing code of conduct.
  • Opportunities for interactions within the school.
  • The different types of conflict.


Day 2

  • The stages of conflict resolution.
  • Elements of effective communication for peaceful resolution.
  • Cooperative council.
  • Initiation to peer mediation.
  • Cognitive conflict - a learning strategy
